About Cumpoltittu

Drive north-west towards Alghero for approximately 7 kilometers from the center of Bosa, and you’ll discover a pretty and tiny cove named Cumpoltittu (La Spiaggia di Cumpoltittu). Perfectly sheltered from the Mistral winds, this secluded cove is just 60 meters long, and faces south, offering beautiful views of the Bosa coast. Here you will enjoy amazingly clear water and soft sands.

Cumpoltittu is surrounded by cliffs that you can dive from. If you go for a short hike around the cliffs, you will discover some spectacular rock formations, shaped by the patiently brute forces of nature and time. As this cove has no facilties other than a small parking area near the road, you will need to bring some lunch and plenty of water to get you through the day. It’s best to visit this beach in the early hours of the day during high season.

Directions to Cumpoltittu

To reach La Spiaggia di Cumpoltittu from Bosa, take the Strada Provinciale 49 in the direction of Alghero. You will pass the signs for S’Abba beach, and after about 1 kilometer you will find the car parking for it on your left hand side. Look for a sign at the end of the car parking. The footpath to the beach begins behind the sign, it will be about a 5 to 10 minutes walk to get to Cumpoltittu. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful vistas of the bay along the way!

Turas

Drive south from Bosa Marina for about 1.5 kilometers and you’ll discover the beach of Turas (La Spiaggia di Turas). The beach has a length of nearly 400 meters, and faces west, offering nice views of Bosa Marina and its ancient tower – La Torre di Bosa – to the north.

Bosa Marina

  • Length: 900 meters.
  • Things to do: scuba diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, pedal boating.

The beach of Bosa Marina (Spiaggia di Bosa Marina) is located in front of the village of Bosa, in the province of Oristano, west Sardinia. It’s quite a wide beach (up to 130 meters!) with a total length of nearly 900 meters.

S’Abba Druche

  • Length: 180 meters.
  • Things to do: snorkelling, kayaking.
  • ✓ This beach is suitable for families with children.

Drive 5 kilometers in a north-west direction from the center of Bosa, and you’ll find the beach named S’Abba Druche (La Spiaggia S’Abba Druche di Bosa, also known as S’Abba Drukke). This beach has a length of nearly 200 meters and faces west, overlooking the clear and transparent sea. It’s a nice secluded spot.

Cala Managu

  • Length: 190 meters.

From Bosa, head north-west in the direction of Alghero for about 10 kilometers, and you’ll discover a pretty cove named Cala Managu (Spiaggia di Cala Managu). It’s a secluded rocky cove with a length of about 180 meters.

Torre Argentina

From the center of Bosa, head north-west in the direction of Alghero for about 10 kilometers, and you’ll discover a beach that goes under the name of Torre Argentina (Spiaggia di Torre Argentina). This beach consists of a series of bays of a few hundred meters each. They all offer views of a small rocky island situated just 50 meters off the coast.
