With a length of just under 300 meters, Cala Monte Turno (Spiaggia di Cala Monte Turno) is one of the smaller beaches near Sant’Elmo. It faces southeast, offering views to the north of Monte Turno – which this beach was named after. The sea is very clear in this bay and rich in marine life, making this beach a lovely spot for snorkeling. Sun beds and parasols are available to rent, and a parking area can be found just behind the beach. Two wooden kiosks offer excellent opportunities to enjoy lunch or dinner. As Cala Monte Turno is relatively small, this little Sardinian paradise can become crowded quickly during the high season. The waters are shallow for the first few meters, making this an excellent beach for families with children.

How To Get To Cala Monte Turno

To get to Cala Monte Turno beach, you can take the SS 125. At the junction for Castiadas, turn right up to the stop. From here, just follow the signs to Cala Sinzias and once you get to the next junction, make a left turn and continue on a short stretch of coastal road until you do spot the entrance to the beach on your right. The road is unpaved. At the end of the path you can park in the large open space and from there take a short walking trail that leads to the beach.
