It’s located between the forests of Biriala and Bilariccoro and the famous Cala Sisine Beach and Cala Mariolu Beach, making it one of the most gorgeous spots in the Gulf of Orosei.

What makes this spot so unique is the pure white limestone sand, the water so clear it’ll make you think you’re in the Maldives, and the rocks that look like they’ve been hand-carved by nature herself. The juniper trees with those cute little berry-like cones make it a little slice of paradise.

If you’re into scuba diving or snorkeling, or you’re just a thrill-seeker who loves trekking and climbing mountains, this place deserves a place on your bucket list.

Cala Biriola does attract its fair share of visitors, especially during peak times like August. You might encounter a moderate crowd, so it’s best to plan accordingly.

You can get to Cala Biriola by boat, which is an adventure in itself. Alternatively, you can book a guided hike which starts with the meeting point in Orosei and ends with a delicious local food and wine experience for about €100.00.

By taking a boat trip you’ll have the freedom to explore not only Cala Biriala but also the other stunning secluded coves along this part of the Sardinian east coast. From Cala Sisine to Cala Mariolu and beyond, you’ll have the opportunity to discover a whole array of natural wonders and hidden gems. The scenery is otherwordly, you’ll want to bring your camera! You won’t find much shade here, so bring some sunscreen as well.
