About Spiaggia Capriccioli
Capriccioli beach (Spiaggia Capriccioli) easily belongs on the list of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda. Located within walking distance from La Celvia, and 1.5 kilometers south-west of the all-famous Principe Beach, this rather small beach with a length of 200 meters is surrounded by an abundance of lush Mediterranean brush, with olive and pine trees. The beach is divided into two parts by enormous granite rocks. Facing east, Capriccioli beach offers beautiful views of the island of Mortorio, which can only be reached by small boats. Also, Capriccioli offers panoramic views of the islands of Soffi and Le Camere, both situated roughly 2 kilometers off the coast.
The waters of this beach are shallow, and often very calm and smooth with a gentle tide, allowing children to play freely. Water temperatures range from approximately 17 degrees Celsius in early May, to 26 degrees all the way to October. Lots of fish are easily spotted in the exceptionally clear waters, even without snorkel gear! Near the beach, you’ll find a restaurant with a bathroom, and parking is just around the corner. Just be sure not to park your car on the side of the road though, otherwise chances are you’ll get a parking fine. Should the number of beaches you’ll visit be limited during your Sardinian holiday, make sure you’ll visit Capriccioli. Unsurprisingly, this Sardinian gem can get quite crowded during high season, so be sure you go early to avoid the crowds. The beach is very easy to reach from Olbia, it will be well worth the 25 kilometer trip.
