Liscia Ruja Beach (Spiaggia di Liscia Ruja) lies in between the villages of Portisco and Cala di Volpe. It is widely considered to be one of the best beaches of Costa Smeralda. Liscia Ruja Beach is rather long and wide, making it ideal for long walks along the waterline in spring. Its dimensions somewhat increase your chance of finding a good spot in the morning, even during peak season in August. In some places the beach can be up to 50 meters wide which on hot days can be quite a stretch without proper footwear. The sand is of a powdery white and fine quality, and the water incredibly light blue. Liscia Ruja Beach faces east, offering a beautiful view of the Soffi and Mortorio islands. Parking rates are about 2 Euros per hour. Make sure you only park in the designated parking areas, if you leave your car anywhere else, chances are you will get a penalty charge. Lounge beds and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. The Long Beach Café on Liscia Ruja beach serves breakfast from 08:30 AM. Lunch can be enjoyed both at the restaurant or on the beach, and during the hotter weeks of August the bar-restaurant will also be open in the evening.
