About Cala d’Ambra

Close to the village of San Teodoro, one of the southermost villages of Olbia-Tempio, you will find the beach of Cala d’Ambra (Spiaggia di Cala D’Ambra). It is a small and cozy beach, visited mainly by tourists. Cala d’Ambra is located a little under 2 kilometers south of the beach of La Cinta. The beach is approximately 700 meters long, and faces north-east, offering splendid views of Isola Tavolara in the far distance. In some places, Cala d’Ambra’s beach can be rather pebbly, so you may want to bring some shoes when visiting this beach. Cala d’Ambra is a nice spot for snorkelling, canoeing and windsurfing. The beach is suitable for families with children. With San Teodoro being so close to the beach, there are plenty of facilities in the area, and there’s a camping conveniently located near the beach (Camping Cala D’Ambra).

Cala d’Ambra Hotels

The closest hotel you’ll find is Hotel L’Esagono in San Teodoro, an 80-room traditional Mediterranean style hotel surrounded by a large garden, with direct access to the beach where beach beds and sunshades are provided for hotel guests. Alternatively, approximately 250 meters behind the beach, you’ll find Hotel & Residence Liscia Eldi, a holiday resort with over 160 apartments of varying sizes. From this hotel, La Isuledda beach can also easily be reached on foot.

Directions to Cala d’Ambra

Coming from Olbia by car, take the SS125 in the direction of Siniscola. After about 25 kilometers, make a left turn in the direction of San Teodoro. From there, Cala d’Ambra beach is only 500 meters away.

A few hundred meters south of Cala Brandinchi you'll find Lu Impostu beach, the third largest beach of the San Teodoro area with a length of 1 kilometer.
