Sos Dorroles (Spiaggia di Sos Dorroles)is a beach near Cala Gonone that features small pebbles and sand. It is known for its cleanliness and tranquility, especially in the early morning and after 5 pm. If you’re an early riser, watching the sunrise from this beach is a truly magical experience! The beach is protected from strong winds by a rocky wall, and the shallow waters are home to shoals of small fish. The beach is conveniently located within a short walk from the village center. A high red rock face characterizes it, and the sand is a bit coarse. In the afternoon, the rocks provide a pleasant shade that extends to the shore. Earlier in the day, you can escape the sun’s heat thanks to the refreshing shade the nearby pine trees offer. Although the sea can be a bit rough, it has a charming allure, and on calmer days, the water takes on a beautiful emerald-green color. There is a parking area about 500 meters uphill, and a well-stocked bar can be found at the entrance. If you are in this pocket of the Gulf of Orosei, it’s a lovely place to relax for a day or two and enjoy the natural beauty of the east coast.
